When the two words are combined you get a really good idea what I do.....paint your pixels. In other words, I create a piece of art based on your photograph. When I began intergrating digital technology in my paintings, I discovered a passion for this new form of art which has been exploding onto the Art scene for the past ten years. It is nearly impossible to go into any art gallery and not see Giclee prints or digital art in one form or another. Digital imaging is a dominant force in Contemporary Arts.
As you learn more about what I can do you will see that I have created, not just a printing company that applies simple filters on your picture; I create original art directly from your photograph that you will be proud to display in your home, office or give as a meaningful gift to friends and family. This is real original art you are commisioning for yourself.
So, welcome to the world of combining traditional and contemporary art processes. I look forward to working with you!

Painting has been one of the few constants in my life. I moved around a lot as a child; painting and drawing were my escape. In 1992 I returned to college to pursue a degree in Fine Arts and did several Independent Studies with world renowned painter Wayne Theibaud and David Hollowell at the University of California Davis (UCD). I graduated with Highest Honors. Upon completion of my degree I moved to Europe for two years where I focused on the study of the human figure, light and color. It was in Europe where I first started playing around with technology and art.
After returning from Europe I did an Artist in Residency program where I developed and implemented a Visual and Performing Arts Program at a Northern California school. During these years I enjoyed working and teaching about the various art making processes. It was during that period when I became more interested in the digital arts. I returned to UCD where I assisted teaching a Digital Imaging class. The most facinating part for me was the hybridization of traditional methods and modern technology.
I began creating portraits for friends and family as gifts. As the Giclee printing method saturated into the Modern Art Museums, local Art Gallery’s, and academia I decided to branch out and offer my portraits to the public, combining the tradition of the “Commissioned Painting” with today’s new digital genre, resulting in unique art pieces especially for my clients. As modern technology continues to slip its way into the traditional methods of art, I will continue to explore new ways of creating artworks for myself and my patrons. |
